Jason McRoy, former IBM Watson Health Division Account Director, will focus on advanced data solutions to Social Determinants of Health Challenges
Today, QHN announced that Jason McRoy, of Longmont, Colo., joined the team to lead the analytic intelligence and strategic risk stratification services department of its award-winning Community Resource Network (CRN).
CRN is a secure, collaborative information exchange among behavioral, social, and medical service agencies. CRN helps create a whole-person picture of health, connects care team members together to expedite help for those at risk, and enhances care processes and outcomes. CRN is powered by QHN, nationally recognized as an innovative leader of health information exchange. CRN recently won the national silver medal in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s SDOH Innovation Awards.
McRoy brings nearly 18-years of experience in the human services and health sectors, where he has worked collaboratively with community and government agencies throughout Colorado to implement innovative solutions to improve the delivery of health and human services.
Jason’s work will focus on CRN data collection and analytics. He will lead the efforts to develop and implement sophisticated risk stratification and predictive modeling strategies and tools to help communities change the way they work together to improve client outcomes and to better serve the needs of their communities.

By making data meaningful, CRN will be a long-term, sustainable effort.”

My hope is to bring an analytic perspective to the implementation, in terms of helping to develop the evaluation model for the system but also to look at how the data collected by the application can be used to generate new insights for the staff and programs using it. CRN will offer a unique opportunity to understand the impact of programs and benefits to community at large— my goal is to help tease that narrative out of the data.”
Most recently, Jason served as the Deputy Account Director with IBM Watson Health Division on a project in partnership with the Colorado Department of Healthcare Policy and Financing (HCPF). Jason oversaw the operations of the state’s Medicaid data warehouse and business intelligence environment. Prior to that, Jason was the Division Director for the Business Operations and Systems Division of Boulder County Housing and Human Services (BCDHHS) where he led implementation of BoulderConnect.
A graduate of DePauw University, McRoy went on to study Applied Mathematics at the University of Colorado Denver. McRoy is thrilled to join QHN where he will continue to help the underserved in Colorado through groundbreaking and innovative new technologies.
