Dr. Joseph Adragna was 5 years old when he decided that he wanted to be a doctor. His mother was in the hospital with breast cancer and he quickly grew to respect the medical staff who gave him and his brothers more time with her.

At 13, Adragna began volunteering at Montrose Memorial Hospital. He attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora for his degree and residency, and then returned to Montrose a fully licensed family physician ready to start up his private practice. Adragna, who is affectionately known by his patients as Dr. Joe, has lived and practiced medicine in Montrose for most of his life. He lives in Montrose with his wife Doriann, a child psychologist at his family practice, and their children.
