Janet Rowland | Mesa County Commissioner
Please meet Janet Rowland, the newest addition to the QHN Board of Directors!
Janet is a Mesa County Commissioner from District 3.
To the QHN board, Janet will bring a wealth of experience in building community partnerships to solve problems along with 26 years in the human services field, with special focus on child protection, substance abuse and mental health.
Prior to being elected as commissioner, Janet served in several capacities generally focused on protecting kids from abuse and neglect including:
- the National Director for Project 1.27 for 3 years,
- the Executive Director of CASA for five years,
- Mesa County Commissioner for 8 years, and
- the Mesa County Department of Human Services for 10 years.
In her free time, she loves to FaceTime her grandkids almost daily and visit them in Oklahoma as often as she can. Janet and her husband Lance love to spend time in the outdoors camping and riding their ATVs. She also loves books and ‘reads’ 75+ audiobooks a year.
